"The mobile is a poetry made of material" - Manuel Corullon

"Why do I create mobiles? The mobile is a kinetic sculpture. Its conceptual contents deeply marked the history of the modern art. Its substance crossed over the time and was transformed into an object representing the essential values of the contemporary history. The mobile represents the vocation of the man to defy gravity. It symbolizes some opposite forces which would meet to break the balance, to fight against inertia. The mobile is a player; it induces the smile and the joy. It tenderly confronts us with our own evolution, with the various phases of our life. It is impossible for us to be indifferent to its beauty, its lightness, the emotion which its magic causes. The mobile is a poetry made of material. Create mobiles, it is a permanent homage to the sculptor Alexander Calder, great artist engineer, and to his inexhaustible talent. Create mobiles, it is remember the astonishment of Duchamp and the joy of Miró. The mobile is a metaphor of the day to day. It is a lesson about the "impermanency" of our environment, something which we must remember "- Manuel Corullon.
